Join University of Oregon's Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies (REEES) program for a two-day conference on the impact of Russian settlements in the Pacific Northwest.

“Russians in the Pacific Northwest: From Fort Ross to the Aleutian Islands” is being held to mark the fiftieth anniversary of REEES, which was founded in 1968. It is the first conference in Oregon to take stock of the Russians’ role in the vast region spanning from Alaska to northern California from the eighteenth century to the present day. The event is free and open to the public. A full list of presentations and the schedule can be found here.
