Unpredictable Faces of Russia: Pro et Contra (Lecture by Mikhail Fishman, Vera Krichevskaya and Dina Sorokina)

The 10th RusDocFilmfest-3W presents a lecture by three distinguished Russians on current issues facing their home country.

The event will focus on the general theme of modern Russia, protection of human rights and open expression in contemporary Russia, Russian liberal culture and films, and free thought and censorship in modern Russia. The lecturers will describe the political and social landscape of modern Russia, discuss issues in society, and predict general scenarios of Russian political and social development. Q&A to follow after lecture.

Speakers:

Mikhail Fishman, journalist, editor-in-chief of the liberal newspaper Moscow Times, Russian Forbes’ columnist, and a well-known TV host on Dozhd (Rain), an independent Russian TV channel.

Vera Krichevskaya, journalist, one of the founders of Dozhd (Rain), an independent Russian TV-channel.

Dina Sorokina, director of the Yeltsin Museum in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
