Former U.S. Ambassador Douglas Lute, former Defense Attaché Brig. Gen. (retired) Kevin Ryan and Intelligence Project Director Rolf Mowatt-Larssen will brief attendees on the 2018 Elbe Group meeting and provide the insights and feedback they gained from discussions with Russian military and intelligence leaders.
The purpose of the Elbe Group is to maintain an open and continuous channel of communication on sensitive issues of U.S.-Russian relations. The 2018 Elbe Group meeting took place March 14-17 in Naples, Italy.
