Ground Truth Briefing | Ukraine: Presidential Election Update
Join the Wilson Center for a briefing on Ukraine's presidential elections. On March 31, Ukraine held its presidential election. No candidate garnered more than 50% of the vote, resulting in a runoff election on April 21 between two candidates: the incumbent President Petro Poroshenko and comedian and actor Volodymyr Zelensky. In this Ground Truth Briefing, speakers will discuss issues such as the outcome of the first round of the election, what to expect in the second round, what factors are influencing voters’ opinions, and what can be expected from a Zelensky presidency.
