Negotiate the Future of Georgia: Virtual Event

April 11, 2020, 10:00am-4:30pm (registration required)
Online

Join Harvard's Davis Center for an online negotiations simulation on Georgia's political, security and humanitarian situation.

Georgia, a post-Soviet country long mired in regional conflict, stands at a critical juncture of its development. The fate of Georgia's political, security and humanitarian situations are still in question after twelve years of unsuccessful talks. However, there is still hope for lasting peace and stability in Georgia. In this exercise, participants will take the role of U.S., Russian, Georgian, international and separatist negotiators and mediators convening in Geneva to determine the future of Georgia once and for all.

"Negotiate the Future of Georgia" will take place online on Saturday, April 11, between 10am and 4:30pm through Zoom. During this event, participants will be working on a problem set that will allow them to engage with other negotiators through email, videoconferencing, and phone. Participants will have the opportunity to "move" throughout the virtual space and breaks will be provided. The event will include both negotiations and a debrief.

Spots are limited. Registration required.
