Privacy Policy

The following Privacy Policy contains information that outlines how the Russia Matters website (www.russiamatters.org, hereafter referred to as the “Site”) collects, uses and stores Site visitors’ information. The policy does not extend to the Site’s partners, which maintain separate privacy policies, most of which are linked to below. Your use of the Site constitutes your agreement to the policies set forth below.

When opting in, a user will be asked for certain personal information such as name and email address in order to provide the user with the requested service. This information will not be shared with or sold to any third parties, except as required by law.
  • Technical data: In order to continuously improve the Site and quality of service, the Site will use various internet technologies, including but not necessarily limited to cookies and local storage tools. If a user wishes to opt out of having her/his data be used by Google Analytics, instructions on how to do so may be found here.

Security

As mentioned above, the Site is hosted by Pantheon, whose full privacy policy is available here. The section on security reads as follows: “Pantheon uses appropriate administrative, technical and physical security measures to protect our users’ and visitors’ information and data against loss, misuse and alteration. We use standard industry practices to help prevent unauthorized use of, access to or alteration of visitor and user information and hosted data. These practices include the appropriate use of firewalls, SSL encryption, limiting storage of financial information to a PCI compliant third party provider, system redundancies and co-location at a 24/7 secured, controlled environment.” Extra Site security is provided by Cloudflare whose privacy and security policy can be read here.

Third-Party Services
